About Trinity Volunteer Corps

The Trinity Volunteer Corps seeks and provides young adults with an 11-month opportunity to live together in an intentional Christian Community while working with local social service agencies in the greater Washington, DC area.

The application deadline is open.  The Trinity Volunteer Corps participates in a common application process through the Episcopal Church Domestic Internship Program.

Age Range: Four or more years of post high school experience or a college degree

Medical Insurance Coverage: Yes.

Type of housing provided: House adjacent to Trinity Episcopal Church, TVC’s sponsor. Volunteers have their own private bedroom and share community living space.

Hours per week: 40 hours at placement

Transportation provided: Stipend for local mass transport

Type of work/volunteer placements: Social Service Agencies

Parish Context: Trinity Episcopal Church, a diverse, cross-cultural community where volunteers are active members

Location: Washington, D.C.

Student Loan Deferment: AmeriCorps, up to $4,725 educational award available and deferred student loans

Community Life: Volunteers live in intentional Christian Community and meet several times weekly for spiritual formation and vocational discernment

Stipend: $300 per month

Ecumenical: Yes

Length of Program: Eleven months (September through July)
