Father Harmon is on sabbatical.  The Reverend Canon Kwasi Thornell is covering for him during his absence.  In the event of an emergency, Father Thornell can be reached at 301-933-7650 or 301-755-7795.

The Coffee Committee will be on summer break from Sunday, August 3 through Sunday, September 7.  We are asking other committees and/or parishioners to help continue this fellowship by volunteering to serve on one of the Sundays during this month.  Contact Cheryl Freeman (8am) or Lil Taylor Wilkerson (10:30am) via the office if you are able to help.  

Are you ready to take control of your Weight and Health?  Trinity Church is joining State Farm Insurance's nationwide campaign to get Americans to lose 50 millions pounds.  Sign up to get an informational booklet, DVD and pedometer  by contacting Lloyd Cummings or Diane Robinson at the Trinity Conversation Center (202-726-2357) on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10am and 7pm.

Pictorial Directory:  Olan Mills will be at Trinity on July 15 from 3-8:30pm. Please make an appointment by signing up on the sheet located in the Parish Hall.

The Rector's office has moved to the Trinity Center (formerly the rectory).  Plans are underway to move the secretary's office to the Center this fall.  The Trinity Conversation Center is now housed in what was the Rector's office, adjacent to the Parish Hall.

A hardy thanks and congratulations to the Summer Enrichment Program Director Dr. Karen Johnson, Vacation Bible School Director Chris Okonkwo, and the teachers and staff of both programs for another successful and wonderful year.  Many thanks for  all that you do and have done for the youth of Trinity...and the community.

 

June 2008

The Mid-Year Parochial Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 11:30am following the service at 9:00am.  Worship services will be held at 8:00am and 9:00am.

Sunday School is on summer break.  Classes will resume in September.

Pictorial Directory:  Some of you were disappointed that you were not able to make the appointed dates to have your portrait taken.  A new date has been set for portraits.  The office will contact you with the new date and time.

Congratulations to our graduating high school seniors, who received scholarships from the Trinity Episcopal Church Women at a luncheon held on Saturday, June 21 at Pier 7 Restaurant in Washington, DC.
